St Mary’s Schools in Tanzania were founded by Hon. Rev. Dr. Gertrude Pangalile Rwakatare, a senior bishop and education pioneer who established the St Mary’s school group in the mid-1990s, beginning with the first campus in Tabata, Dar es Salaam. Today, her vision lives on through a multi-campus network of faith-inspired, English-medium schools across Tanzania
